We’ve all noticed the stickers on the fruits that we buy in the supermarket. But, have you ever wondered what they mean?A 4 digit code starting with the numbers 3 or 4 means that the product was cultivated in the second half of the 20th century on a factory farm, and probably used artificial fertilizers.

A 5 digit code starting with the number 9 means that the product was grown in a traditional way, has been cultivated for thousands of years, and is considered organic or without pesticides and fertilizers.

A product with a 5 digit code starting with the number 8 means that the product is genetically modified or commonly known as GMO.
We hope that you will pay more attention to what you buy and consume after reading this.
